Why You Should Try All Natural Mouthwash

By Ronald Morris

Brushing teeth twice a day, while standard and required is not enough. There is a need for more if one will succeed at keeping bacteria, cavities, plaque, and gum disease among other problems at bay. Traditional mouth rinse is heavy with harmful chemicals. These chemicals are easily absorbed through the thin oral lining. All natural mouthwash is best, as it does not carry these chemicals. It is an effective addition to the oral care regimen.

Traditional rinse has alcohol. This alcohol is deterrent to the balance of saliva in the mouth. Saliva is a defense mechanism of the body against plaque. A pretty strong one, for that matter. Saliva is also integral in the digestive process. The organic rinse is alcohol-free and therefore does not cause this problem.

Some say that the mouth is one of the dirtiest areas in the body. There are a lot of bacteria in there that can cause foul breath and infections if not properly attended to. Organic oral rinse comes with antibacterial properties. It is also fluoride free. Fluoride while a little beneficial also carries a lot of risks. It may cause teeth discoloration.

If proper care is not taken, the oral mucosa could be infected. These infections can sip into the bloodstream through the capillaries in the mouth. Within no time, the infection will have afflicted organs. What will have started as an easily fixed problem will escalate into a mountain that cannot be moved even by faith?

A natural rinse can be made at home with a few readily available and organic ingredients. All one needs is some herbs to make tinctures. They can also buy the tinctures from stores. A myrrh tincture will work as a preventative measure against gum disease. An Echinacea tincture is armor against infections. Goldenseal will ensure gum health stays optimum. Propolis tincture will be the microbial. Plantain tincture only needs two ingredients to make but is also available to buy. It will work to draw out and keep infections at bay. A mixture of these tinctures will not only work to keep oral health at the highest level possible, it will be useful when an infection or disease does slip by.

Get a mouthful of water in a glass. Add between twenty and thirty drops of the rinse. One can opt to add a bit of peppermint. This will add a breath freshener to the mix. Swish I the mouth for a bit then spit. This concoction might not taste very good. It is okay to have a sip after just to get the taste out.

One can use other herbs like sage. Sage is great for white teeth. Everyone wants a bright smile, right? White oaks bark will soothe and reduce gum swelling. Neem is commonly used for different purposes. The bark is said to be more potent than the leaves. It is effective in reduction of plaque and fighting off gum disease.

If one chooses to buy their rinse, it becomes important to study the table of contents. This will give stimulate every ingredient used. It will inform one of its standing. Is it natural or just good old regular?
