Oh To Truly Love

By Evan Sanders

To really love...how rare that is.

Our love is the things that miracles are made of. While that love may only last 5 minutes, 5 hours, or 50 years it is the thing that weaves the fabric of this world together.

For those who have been hurt in the past, to love is one of the hardest things to do. They fear being battered by it's emotions waves again and losing themselves again. However, when one decides to take consistent runs at love they usually find it somewhere down the line and are filled up by it.

Love is a game changer. It breaks barriers, it brings people together, it transcends time and space and truly can change the course of history. We have seen that happen over and over again. Love is the thing that creates the greatest amount of change.

Love, despite the using the most eloquent words, is quite unexplainable.

Almost everything and everyone in our lives can be loved. This isn't a type of immature love, but rather the type of love where you can stand vulnerable in front of all people and all things and be what is true in that moment. You stand as an honest and open representation of who you are and that is magic.

What makes love complicated is that it can be rather fleeting at times. But that's really how it's supposed to be. While we are absolutely in heaven when we are in love we are also meant to experience times "out of love" so we can appreciate it even more when we have it.

Love is wonderful, life changing, a roller coaster and yet passing all at the same time. It comes and goes, even breaks us at times and forever changes us once we experience it. When it breaks us, we fall to pieces. When it comes back, we fall together.

Love is pretty darn complicated.

So cherish and love the people who are in your life right now. Give them every single ounce of love that you have. Don't rest amongst the cold and timid souls who rather hide in the shadows and keep their love to themselves. Instead, stand as a light for others and show them the way.

Love no matter what.

Love hard. Love vulnerably. Love with no fear.

Oh to love, how rare that is.
