Fortunately, there are certain things that you can do in order to help with the frustration that you are dealing with. One needs to talk to someone about this. It is not easy to go through with this alone when you are trying to hold down a job and managing a home and a family at the same time. You are not able to function at the same level as before.

Most women stop having periods altogether once they have reached their 50's. However, there are women who stop menstruating earlier on because of certain types of operations or because of chemotherapy which can affect the hormones as well. This is more severe, and there is a lot more that one has to deal with.

Some people gain weight during this time, so it is important that women stick to an exercise program. It is not always to be disciplined, especially when the other symptoms kick in. When you are feeling depressed it is not easy to get involved in exercise. However, joining up with a club can help you to stay motivated. Eating the right things will also help you stay healthy during this time.
